Fall is almost here and so is apple pie season. 2025 was a very successful year, we made 519 pies and had a profit of $6,813. As always, it is a wonderful time of laughs and fellowship and we look forward to peeling, rolling and filling shells with you all again this year.
Lori Presunka and Laurel Zulke are co co-ordinators again – however, they will both be away at overlapping times during September & October. Lorrie Brown and Fay Torgeson have graciously offered to get things rolling. They will require lots of support from volunteers. All helpers are welcome – all ages, genders, experienced or not.
Anyone travelling to the Okanagan mid September thru October a box or boxes of apples would be appreciated or reach out to any contacts you may have for free or inexpensive apples – No Macs or Red Delicious please. We will also be looking for donations of flour, sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. If your unable to donate supplies or your time/talent, cash donations are always welcome to assist in purchasing what doesn’t get donated.
Hopefully, we can start in late September or early October, depending on apple supplies. Order forms will be available soon.
