Welcome to the 2026 Cloverdale United Church Intercultural Ministry Summer Program! We are delighted to have you join us and pray that this summer program will be a meaningful opportunity for learning, friendship, and fellowship.
Before our classes begin, please take a moment to read the following important information.

Program Donation

The CUC ELL program is supported by donations, and all of our teachers serve as volunteers. Your donation helps cover program expenses, including classroom materials and small appreciation gifts and thank-you cards for our volunteer teachers at the end of the program. We would appreciate it if you could send your donation by e-transfer using the information below.
Donation: $30 per program

Attendance

Since this program is made possible through the generosity of our volunteer teachers and participant donations, regular attendance is very important.
Unless you are unable to attend due to illness or another unavoidable reason, we kindly ask that you attend each class and arrive on time.

About the Program

This program is organized by the Cloverdale United Church Intercultural Ministry.
Our goal is to help participants improve their English and gain a better understanding of Canadian culture through meaningful relationships and activities with members of our church community.
During the program, we encourage each participant to join at least one church event or worship service. Events may include concerts, cooking classes, potluck gatherings, and other community activities.
Please don't feel pressured—we simply invite you to participate with an open mind and enjoy the opportunity to connect with others.

Class schedules may be adjusted depending on the availability of instructors and the needs of the majority of participants.

Program Schedule

  • ELL Basic English Grammar (Online)
    Tuesdays, 8:00–9:00 PM (6 Lessons: 7/14, 21, 28, 8/11, 18, 25 )
    (Day and time may be adjusted.)
  • ELL English Group Study (Weekday)
    Thursday mornings, 10:00 AM -12:00 PM (7 days: 7/16, 23 30, 8/6, 13, 20, 27)
  • ELL English Group Study (Sunday)
    Sundays, 9:00–10:00 AM (7 days: 7/19, 26, 8/1, 9, 16, 23, 30) 
  • Shuffle Dance Trial Class
    Planned to open Trial Class in middle of August
    Regular Class starts in Sep. Sundays, 5:30–6:45 PM
