Children's Church is resuming this Sunday, September 17

We are excited to be welcoming the relaunch of Children's Church during Sunday Worship, following our summer break. When Children’s Church is in session, preschoolers through mid-elementary-age children are welcome to join Children & Youth Ministries Leader Ross Shearer and other adult helpers in the Upper Hall during the latter two thirds of the worship service for their own activities and explorations of the stories of our faith. (People of all ages begin the worship service together, in the sanctuary, through the “Early Word” children’s moment approximately 15 or so minutes into the service.)

Please know, though, that families are always welcome to have children of any age stay together with them in the sanctuary for the whole of the worship service. It is important for families to worship together. Don’t feel your child must be absolutely quiet or still, for we are glad to have children—and all their wiggles, giggles, and squiggles—as part of our community and worship life! After all, as an old saying goes, “faith is caught, not taught!”… and engaging in worship is one of the most important (if not the most important) ways we “catch” faith.

For questions about Children’s Church or any ministries with children and youth, feel free to contact Ross Shearer (ross@cloverdaleunitedchurch.ca). We are also always happy to add to our cohort of adult volunteers able to help welcome and minister among the youngest ones among us, so if you would be interested in serving in this way, please contact Ross.
