Associate Pastor, Youngsun, preaching Psalm 34:1-10,22 and Matthew 5:1-12

This Sunday, on All Saints Sunday, we gather to remember and give thanks for those who have gone before us in faith. In Matthew 5:1-12. Jesus opens the Sermon on the Mount with words of blessing that turn the world’s expectations upside down. The blessed are not the powerful or successful, but the poor in spirit, the merciful, the peacemakers, and those who persevere through hardship.

These beatitudes reminds us that blessing is not something we earn, but something we receive through God’s grace. As we remember the saints who have shaped our lives and faith, we are invited to see ourselves among those whom Christ calls blessed.

As we hear Matthew 5:1-12. may we discover anew what it means to be a people blessed by grace and called to embody that grace in the world.
