Matthew 18:15-20 and Exodus12:1-14

This Sunday we continue our journey through Exodus and arrive at a moment that comes just before Israel’s liberation from slavery. Standing on the threshold of a new future, God’s people receive an unexpected command: stop and remember. The Passover is not simply about a meal or a ritual; it is about remembering the God who hears, sees, and saves. God knows that one of the greatest challenges of faith is not that God stops working, but that we forget what God has already done.

As we hear Exodus 12:1-14, we are invited to reflect on the ways God has been present in our own stories. Before Israel’s journey begins, they are called to remember God’s faithfulness. Perhaps we are called to do the same.
