Matthew 15: (10-20), 21-28 and Genesis 45:1-15
This Sunday we turn to Genesis 45, where Joseph finally stands before the brothers who wounded him so deeply. Scripture often shows us who God is, and at other times who we are—and in this moment of revelation, both come into view. Joseph carries hidden wounds: betrayal, abandonment, years of exile. His brothers carry their own unspoken guilt. Yet when Joseph reveals himself, God’s light breaks into a story long shaped by silence and pain. The wounds do not disappear, but they are met by a truth stronger than fear. In Joseph’s tears and in his welcome, we glimpse how God brings healing through honesty, courage, and grace.
