In this week’s focus Scripture in Genesis, Abraham is tested, but the story is not only about him. It is also about Sarah. She waited many years with hope and tears. Her love shaped Abraham’s heart and helped him trust God more deeply. Even when she could not see the future, she held on to God’s promise. After Sarah’s death, the story of Isaac’s return shows that her waiting was not wasted. Her love and faith created space for life to return. Through Sarah, we learn that quiet, faithful love can guide others toward trust and bring God’s promise into the world.
