Acts 2:1-21

Pentecost is the moment when heaven comes close to earth and brings new life to ordinary people. In Acts 2, the disciples sit together in a small room, unsure about the future, holding both fear and hope in their hearts. Then the Spirit arrives-like wind filling every space, like fire resting gently on each person. What happens next is more than a strange sound or a bright sign. It is a moment of reconciliation. People from many places suddenly understand one another. Communities that were divided begin to share one story. Those who once stood apart are drawn into God’s new movement. The Spirit does not remove differences; the Spirit bring them together in harmony. Pentecost shows us a God who does not stay far away, a God who pours out the Spirit on all people, a God who heals what has been broken between heaven and earth. As we hear this story today, we are invited to imagine how the same Spirit might move in our lives-opening our ears, softening our hearts, and shaping us into people who carry reconciliation into the world. Pentecost is not only something that happened long ago; it is a calling for us today.
