We are happy to be welcoming to our pulpit this weekend Soeun Yoo, a Master of Divinity student in her 4th year at the Vancouver School of Theology (VST). Ms. Yoo is originally from South Korea, but grew up in Japan (and therefore speaks both Korean and Japanese natively). In addition to her studies at VST, Soeun has been active in ministry with “Around The Well”, a ministry of neighbouring around the UBC area under the auspices of Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church.

Joined by Rev. Matt and Pastor Youngsun as worship leaders, Ms. Yoo will be preaching a sermon entitled “Living Centred in an Age of Stimulation”, with Psalm 73 as the focus text.

Most years, on the last Sunday in January we here at Cloverdale United Church celebrate the theological schools that resource The United Church of Canada in preparing individuals for a variety of ministry roles in and on behalf of the church… and in particular, our relationship with the Vancouver School of Theology (VST), the theological school located on the University of British Columbia campus shared among The United Church of Canada, the Anglican Church of Canada, and the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
