33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

As Jesus talks with his disciples about “end times” and his own “coming again”—as well as waiting, and what to do in the meantime—he shares a story we know as the 'parable of the talents'. Does it matter what we do while we 'wait'? Should we play things safe, look after security and prudent interests, and make sure we don't lose any more of what we already have? Well... Somehow Jesus seems instead to be saying that God's investment policies aren't for the risk-averse!
