As the calendar leads us nearer and nearer to the end of the liturgical cycle for another year, our scripture readings from Matthew bring us to Jesus talking with his disciples about things of "end times" and his own coming again. This week, we meet ten young women, "bridesmaids" awaiting the coming of the bridegroom and the wedding feast. What does it look like to be ready, to be prepared? What do we do when the arrival of something we are eagerly awaiting is delayed?
