2 Kings 5:1-14
14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

We pick back up with our walk through the "Ordinary Time" of the year, when we look for God inhabiting our everyday journeys and consider how our discipleship to Christ shapes our everyday living.

This week's story moves us forward from the prophet Elijah to the work of his follower and successor, Elisha.  Whether by fate, fortune, or faith, Elisha is brought into an encounter with a foreign general named Naaman who is in need of healing.  Naaman's body, however, may not be the only thing that got transformed when coming into contact with the power and presence of God.

Also... This Sunday in worship, we will share together in the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion. If you are joining us online for worship, you will want to prepare some bread -- a slice, a small loaf, even a cracker if that's what you have on hand... any kind of bread -- and also a cup or cups of juice or wine, so that you can partake along with those who will be participating in worship from within the church sanctuary.
