Luke 6:27-38
7th Sunday after Epiphany

Mercy. Mercy. Mercy.  Joseph lives it in Egypt.  Jesus preaches it in the gospel.  The Spirit guides us into merciful lives with the power to reconcile what is fractured and divided.  Such mercicul living is the gift of the life-giving Spirit.  Such merciful living is a reflection of God's glory, and we have been given the privilege of being a part of what God is up to in the world.

We celebrate this Sunday that we here at Cloverdale United Church once again will be invite those who so choose to join together in worship in-person inside our sanctuary, after a two-month suspension.  While we rejoice in and give thanks for our vital, quality online worship experience, and the technology and volunteer efforts that make it possible, we also know that (for those who are able and comfortable) coming together in-person for worship is also a treasured experience.  Whether any one of us is taking part via online or in-person modalities, we look forward to coming together to worship God, giving thanks for the presence of Christ in our midst.
